You are never too old to follow your passions.
By listening to your heart, you just might find your true purpose.
This post is about 2 people, now in their mid- 80’s that decided to follow their passions.
I hope you are inspired and realize that it is never to late to follow your dreams.
Carolyn Deeg received a massage as a Christmas present one year and has been hooked ever since. She couldn’t believe how good she felt afterwards! When her husband passed away in 1995, she decided to enroll in the European Massage Institute in San Antonio, Texas. Today, she practices from Monte Vista, Colorado and offers several types of massage- Deep Tissue, Facial Lymph, and Hot Stone as well as energy work such as Reiki, Cranial Sacral, Reflexology, and lastly, a dab or two of essential oils from Young Living Oils.
Carolyn sees herself doing this for the rest of her life. Her perfect schedule is 2 -3 clients for four days with Mondays off, so she doesn’t get too tired. It is all a matter of pacing herself and taking naps when she is able.
Lately, her volunteer work has been in giving away free massages, sometimes 3 or 4 a month. Furthermore, Carolyn loves to garden, read, can, cook, sew and knit.
If you are ever in the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado, I recommend looking her up. A few years ago, I was having a sinus issue and within 2 sessions of receiving her facial lymph massage, my nasal passages cleared and haven’t had the problem since! Carolyn can be reached on firstname.lastname@example.org.
And now, here is another massage therapist, Peter Durkin, that shows us that age holds no boundries. Watch below!
